Music Review : Zilla Ghaziabad -Horrible

Movie : Zila Ghaziabad Music Review By- Utpal S. Chaudhary Banner: Showman International, Soundarya Productions Label: T-Series Music Director: Amjad-Nadeem, Bappa Lahiri Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed Bollywood Aaina Verdict: Horrible "Zila Ghaziabad" is an action-drama starring Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi and Arshad Warsi. The music directors are Amjad-Nadeem, who so far have composed for forgettable films like Mumbai Mirror and Main Krishna Hoon. So one does have very low expectations from the soundtrack of this film.Sukhwinder Singh’s title track Yeh hai Zila Ghaziabad is an extension of his earlier songs from Dabangg and Singham. This upbeat number is dull and predictable. It’s sad to hear Singh lend his incredible voice to such lacklustre compositions. The same goes for the folksy ballad Ranjha jogi. Though the talented duo, Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal is earnest in their rendition, the composition is terribly mediocre.Regressive lyrics and some high-pitched singing by the trio Mamta Sharma, Sukhwinder Singh and Mika Singh, cannot save the item number Baap ka maal from becoming a meaningless mess. Perhaps the raunchy on-screen moves by starlet Geeta Basra will help this dull dance track find some takers.Tu hai rab mera (Mohit Chauhan, Tulsi Kumar) is a nondescript love song.Chauhan is pleasant but Tulsi Kumar’s shrill vocals ruin what could have otherwise been a passable melody. It’s time Sunidhi Chauhan exercised some serious quality control instead of lending her vocals to rubbish like Chamiya No 1. Guest composer Bappa Lahiri’s sole track is an insipid and unbearable bore!
